How We Make Our Products

Everything we make is made by hand, in small batches, by one or two people. Two things shape the way we work: a slow start and a fast finish. Preparing the herbs takes hours. Once a batch is ready, the clock matters — everything is sealed within two days.
1. Weighing

Every batch begins with the herbs laid out and weighed to the formula — nothing is heated until everything is measured. Our ingredients come from certified organic suppliers, each with current certification held on file and approved by ACO.
2. Preparing the herbs

The herbs are tied into cotton bags and drawn out slowly over low heat, until the liquid carries the colour and character of the plants that went in. There’s no shortcut at this stage — the time is what does the work.

3. Bringing it together

The herbal preparation and the base are combined gradually, never all at once, and worked until smooth and even. This is the point where a batch becomes the product.
4. Sealing
Each batch goes straight into sealed containers with as little air contact as we can manage. Bottling is finished within two days.
Why we work this way
Air is what dulls botanical oils and plant extracts over time. Sealing immediately, and keeping the gap between blending and bottling short, is how we protect the character of the herbs we started with.
Working by hand in small batches is slower than the alternative. It’s also the only way we know to hold that standard across every bottle.
Sealed and stored away from heat and light, our products carry a three-year shelf life.
Certified organic to COSMOS ORGANIC by ACO.
